About me
I am a physical volcanologist with a particular interest in multi-phase fluid dynamics and lava flow hazards. In my research, I apply numerical simulations, analogue experiments, and field observations to understand the properties and dynamics of multiphase lavas and magmas. I'm passionate about public-facing science communication and teaching Earth Science as well as supporting mathematics and computational skills to prepare students for the workforce. I recently obtained by PhD at Columbia University, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory where I worked with Einat Lev in the Physical Volcanology group. I received my Master of Philosophy in 2021 and Master of Arts in 2020, also from Columbia University. I obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Geophysics and in Geological Sciences from Stanford University in 2018 with a Notation in Science Communication.
